We are looking for a qualified Financial Assistant located in Virginia Beach.


Job Summary:

This person in this position will work alongside the Program Finance Manager on two Naval Radar Engineering and Logistics support contracts as they develop and revise annual contract year budgets, review prime and subcontractor invoices, report expenditures and funds balances, and constantly work to improve and expand our reporting capabilities. This person will also work closely with the Installation Manager to assist with increasing our installation forecasting, tracking, and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Review and approve monthly subcontractor invoices

Track subcontractor funding and coordinate with Contracts personnel for the issuance of new and modified purchase orders

Enter new funding documents and invoices into tracking spreadsheets

Assist with maintaining various financial and tracking reports

Analyze data from available reports to determine if certain programs are over/under executing their budgets and forecast funding runout dates

Assist with the development of annual budgets for upcoming fiscal year execution

Develop cost estimates and status reports

Provide timely response for CLIN/SLIN de-obligation development of new installation activity reports, tracking planned vs. actual activities and costs, change orders, delays, etc.

Document processes, generate presentations and spreadsheets as required, and prepare for financial review meetings with customers

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Practical experience providing analytical support in a team environment

Experience generating and analyzing financial or data reports

Experience, reporting on financial or operational status, and projecting resource requirements

Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills

Advanced skills with MS Excel

BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, or related field, or: High School graduate with Four Years of experience in Financial Management/Accounting/Data Analysis

Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Experience with DoD contracting/financial analysis

Experience working with Deltek/Costpoint

Competent with all MS Office applications
