Cyber Security Engineer, IA Security

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer, IA Security for our customer in Marlton Nj. The Cyber Security Engineer, IA Security is a fulltime position with benefits and the Cyber Security Engineer must be a US Citizen and have a DOD Security Clearance. The Cyber Security Engineer,IA Security will perform security evaluations of systems, software and networks for our DoD customer (Navy). The work will include the identification of security vulnerabilities, determining risk, designing mitigations to threats, testing and verifying solutions. The work will involve following the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), employing the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scan tools, and implementing the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs). The goal of this work is to obtain and maintain the Authority to Operate (ATOs) for various systems. The Cyber Security Engineer should have one of the following, CISSP, CCNA, CISA or GIAC.

Cyber Security Engineer / IA Security Responsibilities
• Conduct vulnerability and generic security scans of both systems and networks to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities
• Conduct subsequent analysis of scan results to assign an overall risk levels to systems
• Review and analyze vulnerabilities that have been identified as being required for functionality; develop mitigation plans and identify security implications of leaving vulnerabilities in place
• Review and critique system security plans, network diagrams, and other security documentation as part of vulnerability engagements
• Provide technical guidance and hardening recommendations for new systems currently in the engineering phase
• Conduct, attend and support cybersecurity-related system design reviews and other technical meetings
• Produce threat and other reports as dictated by customer needs
• Develop scripts to simplify data collection and other laborious tasks that are necessary to occur throughout the scanning and vulnerability assessment process
• Evaluate the latest vulnerability, network discovery, penetration, and other security evaluation tools
Stay current with the latest vendor and DoD/USCYBERCOM issued threats, product vulnerabilities and mitigations to proactively identify risks
Minimum Security Clearance
• Must be eligible and pass security screening to obtain DoD Secret

Cyber Security Engineer / IA Security Qualifications
• BS/BA degree in a related field
• Information Assurance Certifications (i.e. CISSP, CISA, GIAC)
• Excellent verbal/written communications skills
o Firm understanding of Windows system administration and security
o Network vulnerability and protection
o U.S. Government security clearance
o Must be a US Citizen

Cyber Security Engineer / IA Security Additional Qualifications
• Operating systems: Windows, Unix, Linux, Mac OS X
• Navy Validator
• Vendor-Specific Certifications (i.e. MCITP, CCNA, SCSA)
• Familiarity with key DoD standards including DIACAP, SABI, along with the CT&E and ST&E process
• Develop and make use of C++, Java, Perl, or Visual Basic Scripts
• Scanning and evaluation tools: Nessus, Retina, Wireshark, NMAP, etc.
• Knowledge of Computer Forensics
• Wireless networking standards and methodologies.
• Developing and implementing incident handling and intrusion detection procedures

Cyber Security Engineer / IA Security Education
• Four year college (Bachelor's Degree)
• Certification (CPA, SPHR, PMP, Security+, CISSP, MS Certifications)
