Systems Administrator, Windows

We are seeking a Systems Administrator, Windows for our customer in Philadelphia, PA. The Systems Administrator will be part of a growing computer-based solutions team. We are seeking an outgoing Systems Administrator to support our expanding team with SPAWAR. This position requires a motivated Systems Administrator who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged; technically challenging problems are the norm. The Systems Administrator, Windows, will support maintenance of SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific's (SSC-PAC) computer /network systems located at Naval Support Activity (NSA) Philadelphia. The Systems Administrator, Windows will maintain day-to-day operations of all computer and network related devices, supporting helpdesk operations, supporting upgrade initiatives, and other duties associated with maintaining an information system. The Systems Administrator, Windows, should have a history with, Windows, Linux, Hardware, Software applications, Helpdesk, Cisco, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, Security+, CISA, and CISSP.

System Administrator Responsibilities

Implement, maintain, upgrade, and administer Windows (Active Directory Services, Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL, Site Replication, and group policies) systems, printers, storage devices, and network devices
Maintain existing hardware, operating systems, and software applications to maximize efficiency and provide the highest level of support to users
Update standard operating procedures and system documentation
Install new hardware and software applications, coordinating assistance with third parties
Providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users
Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues Add and maintain users on the network.
Assign application access, ensuring security, and configurations are within standards
Upgrade all hardware components to the latest firmware release and software to the latest patch release
Utilize technology to provide staff with a fast, accurate, and secure method of gaining access to information
Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware utilization; provide recommendations for improvement
Participate in Team meetings providing input and suggestions

System Administrator Qualifications and Skills

Must be a US Citizen

System Administrator Desired Qualifications, Skills, Certifications
Window and Linux Server Administration
Cisco Device Administration
BA/BS four-year degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Engineering/Math or equivalent

System Administrator Education
Vendor Certifications such as MCITP, MCSA 2008/2012 (or MCSE 2008/2012), CCNA (or CCNP), Linux+ (or RHCSA/RHCSE)
Ability to obtain DOD Approved 8750 Baseline Certification for IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, CCNA-Security) or level III (CISSP, CASP, CISA, GCIH or GCED)
3 years of experience as a System Administrator
The Systems Administrator, Windows, should have a history with, Windows, Linux, Hardware, Software applications, Helpdesk, Cisco, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, Security+, CISA, and CISSP.
