Enterprise Storage Engineers will provide support for the engineering, management and maintenance of Enterprise Storage environments including backup infrastructure at multiple locations. The duties for this position will include but are not limited to the following:
Daily Monitoring and health checks of the corporate storage and SAN infrastructure
Initial set-up and configuration of the storage arrays, HSM, tape library and SAN switch environment
Maintaining accurate documentation of the SAN environment
Capacity planning and management
Implementation of SAN connectivity and logical unit number (LUN) provisioning for new requirements and requests for additional storage
Troubleshooting any SAN-related issues
Engineering new Enterprise Storage solutions as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree and 5-9 years of systems engineering, systems integration experience required (additional 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
Experience with storage networking architectures, heterogeneous, enterprise class storage solutions comprised of components from multiple industry-standard vendors;
Experience in design, installation, setup and administration, and capacity planning/management of an enterprise storage/backup infrastructure along with practical experience maintaining large heterogeneous environments;
Experience with NetApp.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Solaris 10/11, Linux and Netbackup Software.
