We are seeking a Software Engineer, C/C++ for our customer in San Diego California. The Software Engineer, C/C++ will join our growing Global Positioning System (GPS) test and evaluation software development team. The Software Engineer, C/C++ position requires a motivated individual who operates both independently and in a dynamic team environment where creative software solutions are encouraged, technically challenging problems are the norm, and the focus is on next generation system technologies. Work will be performed in a dynamic engineering laboratory in San Diego, CA.
Software Engineer, C/C++ Responsibilities
• Software design, development and testing of real-time hardware-in-the-loop systems
• Logical graphical user interface design and implementation
• Redesign and development of existing software and tools to next generation systems
• Integrating commercial-off-the-shelf hardware components with existing systems
• Generation of software requirements, design, external interface
• Configuration management of software modules and system documentation
Software Engineer, C/C++ Qualifications
• BA / BS four-year degree in computer science and / or computer engineering
• 1+ years of work experience in a relevant engineering / software development position
• Strong background developing object-oriented software
• Linux programming and administration
• Excellent verbal / written communication and organizational skills
Software Engineer, C/C++ Desired Qualifications
• Current United States Department of Defense security clearance
• XML, Java, C++, C#, scripting languages, GIT, etc.
• Real-time operating system software development expertise
• Complex multi-threaded software programming experience
• work with RF systems in a laboratory or deployed environment
• Current Security+ and Linux and / or Windows information assurance certifications
Software Engineer, C/C++ Education and Training
• High School Diploma/GED
• Trade or Technical School (Certificate or diploma)
• Two year college (Associate's Degree)
• Four year college (Bachelor's Degree)
Minimum Security Clearance
• Must be eligible and pass security screening to obtain DoD Secret
